Do you plant a tree with every order?
We plant a tree with every order through our online shop, with Ecologi, because you love trees, and we do too!

We do not plant trees for Etsy orders, as the fees for selling through marketplaces are higher - so if you want to plant trees with your order, please shop with Looksee directly!
What are your environmental values?
It is important to me to create products in eco-friendly ways where possible, and I know it is also important to you too. This is something I am mindful about from designing, through manufacture, and right through until you receive your Looksee order.
We plant one tree for every order through our online shop, because you love trees and we do too!
What are you doing to be more eco-friendly in your designing?
I use FSC certified paper for sketching and admin purposes. I have also moved towards mostly
designing digitally these days, which reduces my paper use.
What are you doing to be more eco-friendly in your manufacturing?
I choose my manufacturers based on having shared ethical and environmental values. The majority of my products are manufactured in the UK.
The manufacturer I work with for some of my stationery uses FSC approved papers, and offers a selection of recycled stock options. They recycle where possible, and carry out ethical and environmentally friendly practices wherever possible in their manufacturing and printing processes.
The other manufacturer I work with for my stationery uses paper which meets the highest standards of sustainable forestry, and pre-consumer waste.
The manufacturer I work with for my enamel pins minimises waste where possible, and uses recyclable packaging.
I tend to make products without laminated finishes, to ensure they can be easily recycled.
What are you doing to be more eco-friendly in your packaging?
All of my greeting cards are supplied in biodegradable and compostable celo bags.
The card gift boxes for the enamel pins are entirely recyclable.
All of my packaging (cardboard, stickers, etc.) are recyclable.
Re-use & Recycle

Where do you deliver?
We deliver within the UK.
What does delivery cost?

Do you deliver to PO Boxes?
Yes, we can deliver to Royal Mail PO Boxes.
Which delivery company do you use?
We use Royal Mail for all our non-local deliveries.
Local deliveries will be delivered by Hannah or Jonathan.
Do I need to be home to receive my order?
Most orders fit through standard letter boxes, so you generally won't need to be home for delivery.
For larger orders, if you're not home, the delivery company will attempt to redeliver your parcel the next working day. If they can't deliver your item, they'll leave a card for you and take the parcel back to the Customer Service Point. You can then either collect it or arrange a redelivery.
For local deliveries, we aim for letterbox delivery where possible or directly into your hands. If neither option is available, we will try to leave your parcel in a safe place, or will attempt redelivery on the next local delivery date (usually a few days later).
How can I make delivery cheaper?
Get FREE delivery on orders over £30! This offer is applied at checkout.
Get FREE local delivery to G77 postcodes!
Also we have a special rate just for single cards, so you can get a single card posted 1st Class for £1.90, or 2nd Class for £1.10.
Do you offer local delivery?
Yes we do! We deliver locally to G77 postcodes.

What is the minimum order value for local delivery?
There is no minimum order value for local delivery, yippee!
What does local delivery cost?
Local delivery is FREE to G77 postcodes!
What days are local deliveries?
There aren't specific days for local deliveries, they usually happen 2-3 days per week.
Why isn't local delivery available for me?
Local delivery is available only to G77 postcodes. If you are outside the G77 postcode area, please choose another delivery option.
Please select Shop Pay as your payment method for the local delivery option to work.
If you have a G77 address and are using Shop Pay, and are still having problems selecting local delivery, please get in touch.
Order
Will I get a receipt?
You will not receive a paper receipt in your order. However, you will receive an email with confirmation of purchase after you have ordered.
Help, my order hasn't arrived yet!
I know how frustrating it can be to wait for post! You’re super excited to receive your order, and I’m super excited for you to receive it too.
Please check your order confirmation email for the date of estimated delivery. If it isn’t yet due to be delivered, please be patient - it will be worth the short wait!
CHRISTMAS AND OTHER HOLIDAYS - please allow extra time around bank holidays and seasonal events. November and December are some of the busiest months of year for the postal service, so orders may take longer to arrive.
If you have not received your order within 14 days of purchase (unless agreed otherwise), please email me at hello@lookseeillustration.co.uk so we can reach a resolution.

Help, my discount code isn't working!
Discount codes are usually valid for a limited time. If it isn’t working, the discount is probably no longer available. If it’s only just been sent in our newsletter to you or posted on Looksee’s social media channels though, please email me at hello@lookseeillustration.co.uk to let me know that you think there might be an issue with the discount code, and I’ll look into it.
Which payment methods can I use for local delivery?
You will need to use Shop Pay as your payment method if you would like to select local delivery at checkout.
Returns & Exchanges
How long do I have to return an unwanted item?
Please tell us within 14 days of receiving your order if you would like to cancel.
You then have another 14 days to return the order once you've told us.
I would like to return an item I purchased from one of your stockists, can you help?
Please contact the retailer you purchased the item from. They will be able to access your payment history and help you with your issue.
Unfortunately, we can only process returns for items purchased through our website. The folk who stock our products are lovely people who will be happy to help you though.
Help, my item arrived and it's faulty or damaged!
Please contact us to arrange a refund or replacement for your damaged product. If a direct replacement is not available, we will offer an alternative resolution. Damaged or faulty goods may need to be returned to us, and we may require photographic evidence of the damage or fault.
Items which were advertised as seconds or with faults will not be refunded beyond 14 days.
When will I receive my refund?
After you request your refund, please follow our Returns Policy to send the item or items back to us in a resaleable condition.
We will then process the refund or partial refund as soon as possible, once your return arrives with us.
Products
When will this item be back in stock?
I'm sorry the item you love is out of stock temporarily. You can sign up for waitlist notifications on the product page to be the first to know when it's restocked.
I usually restock reasonably frequently, and can make some items to order if I know there's a waitlist on an out of stock item.
If the item disappears from my online shop entirely, it is most likely discontinued. I have to discontinue certain designs occasionally to make way for new ones.
What products can I find on sale?
If you love a special offer to make your budget go further, Looksee's sale section might have just what you're looking for.
Items in the sale are "Last chance" items, unless the description states they are "Seconds".
Last chance items are ones I will be discontinuing to clear some space for new product lines.
Seconds are items with small imperfections - such as an art print with a slightly damaged corner.
How do you make your products?
I create Looksee Illustration designs myself, in my little creative studio in Scotland.
These designs then flourish into beautiful items of stationery, homeware, and gifts. I work with UK manufacturers wherever possible, to produce small batches. I put a lot of consideration into the manufacturers I work with, ensuring the manufacturers share similar environmental values, while also creating high quality products.
Many of my cards have been printed through UK print companies, using eco-friendly inks. The rest of my cards I print in the studio also using eco-friendly inks. Either way, the cards are created with love and with care, using professional equipment to print, cut, and score the cards to a high quality finish.
Greeting Cards
Can you write a message in a card for me and send direct to the recipient?
Yes, absolutely - I'm happy to help!
- There is no extra charge for this service
- I will still aim to have your order posted within usual processing times
- Please note that as handwritten cards are personalised items, they are not eligible for refunds
- This service is only available on single-address orders. If you would like to send handwritten cards to more than one address, please checkout for each address as an individual order to avoid delays processing your order
- Add your message to the notes section at checkout, or you can email hello@lookseeillustration.co.uk within 30 minutes of placing your order.

Do you supply envelopes with your greeting cards?
Yes, every card comes with an envelope included.
Please note, the colour of the envelope will depend on what we have in stock, typically brown or white.
Are the cards blank inside?
Yes, all of our cards are blank inside for your own lovely message!
What size are the greeting cards?
Our greeting cards are usually A6, supplied with a C6 envelope.
Size can often be difficult to clearly depict in product photography alone, so I would recommend checking the product measurements against a ruler or tape measure before ordering.
Please check individual product pages for the specific size details, as it can vary between products.
Can I get this card in a different size?
Unfortunately not.
Cards are standard A6 size. This means you'll have enough space to write your lovely message, or maybe have a few people sign; but not so much space you feel the need to write War and Peace!
Can I get this card in a different colour?
Sometimes yes - we try to offer a number of products in multiple colour variations so you can choose between two or three options for some of our cards.
We can't make any promises, but we welcome suggestions if there's an existing design in our shop you'd like to see in a different colour palette.
Gift Tags
What size are the gift tags?
Our gift tags measure 95mm x 55mm.
Size can often be difficult to clearly depict in product photography alone, so I would recommend checking the product measurements against a ruler or tape measure before ordering.
Can I get gift tags in a different size?
Unfortunately not.
Our gift tags come in one size. We find this size to be perfect for most presents, with plenty of space to write a longer message or if you have bigger handwriting.
Can I get these gift tags in a different colour?
Maybe - we try to offer gift tags in multiple colour variations of the Party Tigers and of the Cosy Cats, so you can choose between three or four colour options within these ranges.
We don't currently have plans to make existing gift tags in our shop in a new colour palette, but we welcome suggestions!
Enamel Pins
What size are the enamel pins?
Enamel pins are usually approximately 30mm on their longest side, fixed on a small card backer.
Please check individual product pages for the specific size details, as it will vary between products.
Size can often be difficult to clearly depict in product photography alone, so I would recommend checking the product measurements against a ruler or tape measure before ordering.
Can I get this pin in a different size?
Unfortunately not.
All enamel pins are made using moulds for the design, so they cannot be scaled up or down without making a new mould especially for this. This would be too costly for one-off pieces.
Can I get this pin in a different colour?
We try to offer two or three colours for each enamel pin design to choose between.
We don't have plans to add more colours to this range currently.
How do I care for my enamel pin?
Look after your Looksee Illustration items by treating them with care:
Enamel pins can become scratched or damaged if they come into contact with anything sharp or hard. Enamel pins are fastened to items of clothing or fabric wall hangings by creating a teeny tiny hole in the fabric, so please keep this in mind when choosing what you plan to fix it to or wear it on. Enamel pins are sharp, keep out of the reach of children.
Do not wash your enamel pin in the washing machine! It may cause damage to your pin or the machine. If cleaning is required, use a microfibre cloth to polish your pin.
Packaging
What is your packaging like?
All of our packaging is as eco-friendly as possible.
Our enamel pins are presented in fully recyclable cardboard gift boxes.
Our cards are presented in compostable biodegradable celo bags.
A lot of our packaging is made in the UK, from EU/UK post consumer waste paper.
Please reuse wherever possible, and recycle or compost where you can too.
Design
When will you be designing my favourite animal?
There's so many animals in the world, and not enough time to design them all (...I'm working on it!)
Contact me if you have an animal suggestion. I can't promise anything, but it may end up on a product in my shop one day!
Would you do a private commission for me?
Sorry, I am not currently accepting commissions at this time.
Account
Do I need to create an account?
You do not need an account to shop with us.
I would recommend it though so you can check back on past orders.
Help, I had an account prior to 2023, but I can't log in!
Sorry for the inconvenience, we created a new website in 2023. Prior account passwords weren't able to be transferred, so you will need to activate your new account. Please get in touch if you need help with this.
Gifting
Can I send my order directly to the recipient?
Yes, you can! Just put their name in the shipping details section at checkout.
I don’t want a receipt included with the gift!
That’s fine, I send all order confirmations by email, so no receipts are included with the gift.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes
Do you offer gift wrapping?
We do not currently offer gift wrapping - but we package our orders nicely as standard.
Gift Cards
Can I buy a giftcard for myself?
Yes, add the gift card to your bag without ticking the gift option box.
Can I buy a giftcard for someone else?
Yes. There's a tick box for sending the gift card as a gift. Selecting this allows you space to submit recipient email, recipient name (optional), message (optional), and send on date (optional).
Please double check you have the recipient's email address correct before purchase.

No, but we have several options available for you to choose from in popular gifting amounts.

Yes, as long as you still have a balance remaining on the gift card.

Yes, you can use multiple gift cards in a single order, redeem during checkout.
How can I check my gift card balance?
You can check your balance on the gift card page.
Can I use a gift card to buy a gift card?
No, you can't use a gift card to buy another gift card.
How do refunds work for orders placed using a gift card?
If you used a gift card to pay for the purchase, the refund can be applied to the gift card.
About Looksee
When did Looksee start?
Looksee has been trading online since the end of 2021.
That said, Looksee Illustration is the name I have used for my artwork for many years.
It's a name I came up with from the saying "have a looksee", meaning to have a quick look or a little look. I've been using the name since at least 2014 or possibly earlier.
What are your brand values?
We plant a tree for every order placed through our online shop, because you love trees and we do too!
I make eco-friendly choices wherever I can in my business (hello compostable greeting card packaging!)
I work mostly with manufacturers in the UK for my products and packaging, in an effort to reduce carbon footprint where possible, and to support local jobs and businesses.
I create lovely cards and gifts for you to celebrate life moments with your friends and family – and I’m super excited for all the celebrations I’ll be able to help you with in the future as our collection grows!

Where are you from?
In 2018, I took the leap to put down new roots on the outskirts of Glasgow in Scotland, where I still live and work now. Before that, I lived in South East England in Surrey, Hampshire, and Wiltshire.

Ooh that's a toughie - there's so many fantastic animals! My top three are:

What are some of your favourite things to do when you're not working?
I love reading! Especially reading by the fire or with a cat on my lap. Also anything reading-adjacent, like visiting the bookshop or the library.
I'm learning how to cook (it turns out that yummy food is really good motivation for learning new skills!)
I love chill holidays in the UK. The Highlands and The Lake District are some of my favourite places to visit, very relaxing and rejuvenating.
If you weren't an illustrator, what would you be?
I'd run a cosy bookshop or library - endless cups of tea and coffee for visitors, an abundance of cats to chill out with, and shelves full to the brim with fantastic stories!
What do you listen to while you're working?
My favourite podcast is All The Books by Bookriot.
Some of my favourite music to listen to while I work recently is anything by Sleeping At Last, George Ezra, and Ziggy Alberts.
Why do you draw what you draw?
I mostly create animal designs.
A lot of folks have favourite animals, so it feels really fun to draw while I'm thinking of the person who might receive that card or gift in future.
Sometimes I get requests or suggestions for favourite animals, and it's great because I can turn it into a bit of a design brief for myself - having something specific to work on can be motivating.
